I read about this elaborate scam on sherlock's blog a few days ago. I can't believe someone would go through all of this to make the scam more believable! I'm so glad these accounts got caught and I'm happy we have our very own Sherlock Holmes now.
I've been busy flagging plagiarised posts aswell lately, though they are a bit more obvious. It's putting a real strain on my VP and I can't do much with my limited SP sadly. Today, I found another one who then decided to call me names because I called him out I wrote about it > here to ask for help and get his reputation down. His pending payout of $30 on one of his stolen posts is now down to $23, but his reputation is still at 40. I'm hoping more people will flag him, because literally all of his posts are straight copies from various sites.
There are more people like these on Steemit and it's hard to fight them all. Reporting them to Steemcleaners is the best I can do in most cases. I hope the entire community bands together to take these things seriously and show them we don't approve.
