RE: Charity or Scam? - Sizeable Rewards Pending

in #scam6 years ago (edited)

Seems to be capitalising on the legit looking earthnation account / tag + associated bot - also charged up on donated SP. Viewing on a tablet so a bit hard to go through the transaction history. SDR7 is the most untransparent "charity" I've seen on the platform - not that I've actively been looking 🙂 - so your analysis is most likely correct. https://earthnation.world - make of that what you will - you'll find a familiar username in the core members section - manfound..... has a rep of 9 but delegated 17k SP if I'm reading it correctly.

Good stuff, thanks for digging in a little deeper! I'm all but certain this isn't legit, the more evidence I find only supports my theory more and more.

And I was plainly humbled to see your delegation come through recently, thank you so very much!!! I'll be putting together a post about this sometime this month so I'll definitely touch base with you then.

No problem. Appreciate what you are doing immensely.

Still trying to decipher what mfs and enation are about - they could well be on the level. Will require trawling through a stack of posts and comments.

That was my take on it too, I couldn't get a clear read at a quick glance which is why I brought this to the attention of the community so we can all take a look.

It would probably be most helpful if one of the 2 accounts could clarify - seems to have something to do with "steembasicincome" which in itself sounds fine - of course it's yet another utility of the platform that could be scammed. But it's mixed up with a lot of other stuff about DAOs, the bot and SP donation. Looks like the low rep on the user occurred because of a bot malfunction a few months back.

Low Rep of Manfoundstanding was due to ats-david getting into a flagging war with our EN-bot because ats-david also assumed that we are a scam. Manfoundstanding came to our defense, and was flagged nearly into oblivious for it.

We appreciate that you have chosen to do your research, instead of blatantly attacking us with judgements and downvotes.
