i say that right now b/c i caught someone posting with an image i created. It wasnt the best one either. But they thought it was okay cuz they found it on google. I didnt downvote this particular one but i considered it when he told me to chill.
That sucks. If I don't get if of pixabay or create it myself I usually stay away from it. Although, I am a little thrown on the meme challenges. I want to use a photo from a TV show and then write a meme on it, not sure if that is cool.
ultimately it is not really that bad. In this community we strive to be completely authentic and I think that is way it is such an issue here. Its not like facebook where anything goes. The fine line here is that we are making money off this so its even more important for original work. We strive for this. As far as memes go, even legally, it is different when a parody is involved or you alter the image enough to be unrecognizable. I wouldn't worry especially in a contest. With memes the content isn't the image but the text associated with it. Just my opinion. If a fake Starbucks can open up as a parody, i think your memes are just fine.
Only posts that have been plagiarised from somewhere else…
Yes, me too! I once downvoted a post with the wrong tags.
Wow, you are a disciplinary. That's hard core. :-)
Someone who consistently uses other peoples work
Dang, that one is so simple I didn't even think of it. Never have I ever :-)
