In my opinion the school system in the 21st century is a huge failure but doesnt mean you dont gain anything. First thing first you see what your interests in the subjects are. I took a huge interest in history and now i take time to learn it outside of school even tho i dont have history classes anymore. Second thing it actually tries to teach you discipline in the way of studying for grades. Other thing is that if you play your cards right you can find a job in something that lets you make your own schedule/ or lets you work from anywhere in the world, which is perfect if you want to build a business in your free time. So school is like this place that gives opportunities to play the education systems puppy for some years until you can one day just say "f you all" and do your own thing freely. It all comes to you being able to take the ego hit of doing what others tell you.
