The size of the asteroid is comparable to a skyscraper and, according to various data, is from 0.5 to 1.2 kilometers. It moves at a speed of about 34 kilometers per second.
To the Earth on February 4, the potential dangerous asteroid 2002 AJ129 will approach as close as possible, NASA reports.

In this case, even at the moment of maximum closeness, the distance will be ten times greater than the distance from the Earth to the Moon.

Asteroid 2002 AJ129 is classified as "potentially dangerous", but the probability of its collision with the Earth is zero.

On December 16, a large asteroid Phaethon made friends with the Earth. The heavenly body, about five kilometers in diameter, flew 10 million kilometers from our planet, which is 27 times the distance from the Earth to the Moon.
