Microwave ovens today have become one of the most convenient appliances in the fast-paced world in which we live, so they are present in a high percentage of households, for their ability to cook and reheat meals quickly and efficient, however some concerns have arisen about the effects of microwaves on our health. The microwave oven, emits microwaves that cause that the molecules of water that own the food vibrate. The radiation is emitted by a magnetron, which generates an electromagnetic field that stimulates the molecules of water. So far there is no clear evidence that microwave ovens pose a health hazard. However, many people are concerned that low levels of electromagnetic radiation can affect human health in the long run. For this reason it is advisable to move away from the microwave while it is on, thus dramatically lowering the exposure level. As well as using microwave-safe containers. Therefore, microwave heating can be an efficient and reliable way of cooking taking into account one of these considerations.

Thanks for commenting on this post. The greatest health risk is likely to be the foods selected for the microwave, especially the processed ones. Different studies in the Journal of Agriculture and Food Chemistry argue that Microwave heating is one of the healthiest ways to cook vegetables. Such is the case of brussels sprouts that when heated by microwaves maintain the color and phytochemicals that fight cancer.
