Depends, how do you want to be rich and how much you like to earn. If you want to be rich doing a official job then college degree is must. Even if you wanna do a business or something else to be rich then college degree is not necessary but you should have some basic education otherwise you'll face so many difficulties in life. With knowledge you can analyse history and imagine future, good education helps us to think & create good ideas.
If you win a jackpot and become rich, you'll not be asked for your college certificates, even no one will ask you for your college degrees if you're successful but without basic education it's impossible to be rich.
College degree isn't necessary but the basic knowledges.
