Anything NASA has produced could have been equally studied on the ground. Cell phones, TV, etc. are all ground based-that's why you lose your signal if you drive a 1/2 hour out of town. There is no need to go to space, and the 20 Billion a year they siphon from the American people could go to much better use on the ground.
