If you are interested in taking part of this journey, you must get a certificate from Orion Span Astronaut Certification (OSAC). to get this certificate you have to do registration first online. Next, you will undergo training at the Orion Span training facility in Texas, and your final stage will be taken to the space station.
The price tag also includes a launch to the space station, which has not been guaranteed by the provider, according to Bloomberg, which speculated that Orion's announcement earlier this week could be a marketing ruse to assess public interest in the effort.
Nevertheless, it seems like a fairly wild trip - literally. If you love to stay on board the Aurora, Orion says you have the option of making a bigger investment in the future.
"Our architecture is such that we can easily add capacity, enabling us to grow with market demand like a city that grows skyward on Earth," said Orion Span CEO Frank Bunger in a statement emailed to IFLScience.
