But they actually go on offense here.. There's a flight path, I think maybe it's like the bottom of South America to Australia where they say you can't find a direct flight. Like it should be a short enough flight on the round earth, and a long one if it's flat earth, and they say you always get a weird layover in Africa or something like that that doesn't make sense.

It's funny to think about, like in a sense it could make everything seem pointless, like if it's a simulation wtf does anything matter.. but that was always a good question anyways lol.. and if it's a simulation, your life and our experience here is feeding information to some original source who I guess needs it for some reason. So it actually seems like maybe more of a "purpose" than otherwise.
Yeah. Like arguments on whether freewill exists or not. We can't be entirely sure but we can reflect on the facts available
If I had to choose between a flat earth and a simulated universe, I'll choose... Not interested. If any of them exists, there's nothing I can do about that.
All the theories and logic of the universe as we've been taught makes sense.. but I figure theories and models can make sense and be coherent even if they're not what's actually out there. So if I was taught a different model, I wonder if I would also think "hmm ya, seems totally right".
My point exactly. We're talking about simulated universe because it's a thing (at least mentally). We keep devising new models and ideas in understanding our world. More often than not, people only know the most popular ones. Just as everyone takes it for granted that the earth is round
So to me it's like a range of possibility, and probably round, but I don't really care, and fun to think about alternative possibilities.

Ya, similar in a lot of ways.. like if there's not free will, I still experience my life as tho I'm making my own decisions.
It isn't practical in terms of how to make better choices or anything.
By the by, sometimes with freewill/determinism, I think it could be like a grid of all possibilities is predetermined, and you choose which path to go down.
And if the universe is infinite, somewhere out there there's another version of "you" living every possible permutation of your life.
