As if these issues aren’t enough; the health insurance sector is adept to witnessing logistical challenges, owing to a system that is lacking in transparency and bedeviled by the insincerity of some partners in the healthcare system; giving them little or no option than to play along.

Atlantico Network is a decentralized blockchain platform, uniting the medical, pharmaceutical, health insurance service and the patients; in a streamlined and interactive way. Below is an inroad into brief overviews that are obtainable from the participating sectors, on the platform.
In this sector, the medical professionals are required to store the patient’s medical diagnosis, requests, medications, diagnosis, prescriptions, etc. in the decentralized ledger. In this way, the patient’s record can be visualized by other medical users of the platform hence; facilitating easy treatment of the patients and the display of the doctor’s performance on the platform, for ratings.
This will enable the most qualified medical professionals to get better job opportunities, ahead of their peers; serving as a wakeup call for those living below standard. The medical ratings are not restricted to the personnel, but also the medical centers; making it possible for patients to easily spot and patronize the credible ones.
In the pharmaceutical sector, the Atlántico network will unite the producers, wholesalers, and the pharmacists; with the medical word. This they’ll do through the supply chain, till it gets to the end users.
The impacts of the drugs are also monitored through user ratings on the blockchain; serving indirectly as a marketing tool for the producers of drugs with higher efficacies, and checkmating the influx of counterfeits in that regard. This will help the medical field to access quality products at an affordable price.
With the Atlantico platform, the insurance companies will be able to access a transparent pricing of medical services and the drug administrations; helping them to easily filter out the fraudulent elements plaguing the health insurance system. Of all the Atlantico, blockchain users; the patient appears vital as other sectors existence can be owed to their existence. HOW THE ATLANTICO PLAN WILL BE DEPLOYED
The platform will come as with a web and mobile interface; enabling users to communicate and exchange data with others; rate goods and services; through a decentralized application on the NEM blockchain, as illustrated below.
Every patient’s diagnosis, requests, medications, diagnosis, prescriptions, etc. will be recorded in the blockchain ledger, accessible for ratings, reviews, and future analysis. As a blockchain based application, ATLANTICO adopted the NEM blockchain network for an enhanced speed and affordability.
