RE: a

OMFG. I've shown at least 3 posts where I showed the curvature in NON NASA, NON GOVERNMENT proofs. And if 'no motion' has ever been detected, then please explain:

a. Star trails in both hemispheres going opposite directions
b. The eotvos effect . You can test this yourself like in this video.

c. Stellar parallax (millions of people observe and measure this themselves with a telescope)
d. Retrograde motion of the interior planets (again, easy to see and track yourself)
e. The tides prove spin and the moon's orbit (tides repeat every 24 hours and 50 minutes and is explained by the rotation of the earth, and the moon's orbit around it. Unexplainable on a flat OR motionless earth)
f. Cyclones and hurricanes going in opposite directions and
g. Constellations changing throughout the year
h. These guys proving 'toilet swirl' actually exists with a super clever experiment that took them many years to devise (no, it's not actual toilets. We all understand that does not work, which is why they devised the experiment that they did)

i. Sun sets in the northwest in the northern hemipshere and southwest in the southern hemisphere
j. And I KNOW you know about Foucalt pendulums... because you are repeating all the YouTube video arguments.

It sounds like you are parroting without doing actual fact checking. It's also a fallacy to say that because YOU haven't detected it, that no one has, or even that it can't be detected because you watched a video saying it can't be.

Now, you ALREADY admitted you have no model, so how can you say it's flat and motionless, but have no testable model of the flat earth (ie: no testable hypothesis) that is able to explain any of these, let alone all of them together, in one comprehensive model? And in fact, several of these (star trails, tides repeating as they do, constellations changing throughout the year) are simply impossible on a flat earth.

You seem to be trying to tear apart my logic. Wouldn't it be a better logical place to say that you have no idea the shape of the earth, instead of claiming that it's flat and motionless as default, when there IS NO such thing as a 'default' model in science? MOST natural events we see are impossible on a flat earth. I outline several of them in my blog. So how can you claim it's flat and motionless when it's provably impossible for it to BE flat and motionless?

It seems you are not willing to examine your own beliefs. That is a typical position for flat earthers. They demand YOU examine your beliefs, and apply unreasonable pathologic skepticism to a model that they can't prove wrong, yet they absolutely refuse to examine their own beliefs in a flat earth.

Whatever you think of the globe model, the flat earth is completely impossible. So, wouldn't it be MORE logical to just say you have no idea, than to say it's flat and motionless, when THAT is impossible? Or are you unwilling to apply the same level of skepticism to the flat and motionless model that you apply to the globe model?

Sort:

... it would be foolish of you to debate either of those points with calculations based on a theoretical model.

And you even threw tides in there.

Of course! Why wouldn't they be there!
