So maybe you want to try to scan your food, and see if there is not too much fat in your favorite burger !
Or maybe you want to know if your food is spoiled or if it has been exposed to something harmful, who knows !
You can also detect if your plants are enough watered.
You can even check what you are made of !
This little device works by doing spectroscopy analysis. It can detect the light emitted or reflected by an object, and by comparing the obtained spectrum with a database, it can determine what your object is made of.
It's a Israëli Startup which presented this amazing piece of technology, and is already marketing this product at the starting price of 299$ for private customers.
There is also a developpement toolkit for 950$.

Totaly agree, it's quite a good idea for this kind of lifestyle ! But also, imagine analyzing every single thing just for fun ^^ Definitely better than a fidget spinner I guess !
