In particular, you describe in your answer the content of one article that was proposed 7 years ago. At the end of the day, you are not talking about this article in your post. Which I find it a bit sad (as this embedding the expansion of the universe in a string theory framework is one of the interesting and novel point of the article. This is not correct. This has never been proved experimentally. This is just one option among plenty of options.
