Some people - they are surprisingly many - can, listening to music, "see color", "taste" or "smell", "touch" musical phrases and images, although the ability to synthesize this should be attributed to a miracle rather than a symptom brain damage. Synaesthesia is an additional reaction of the brain to a certain stimulus. Someone sees the colors of the days of the week, of music, someone smells tactilely. Officially, synaesthesia is not considered a mental disorder and has been studied with varying success for about 200 years.
