This incredible video is part of a TED talk by Marc Raibert, founder of Boston Dynamics, about robots and the various aspects of their mobility. This is acually like seeing something from the future. Spot, the robot dog, can run, hop, and open doors. Its movements are very smooth and intelligent. It shows that the future, when robots can do what animals or people do, may be closer than we think.
Even if you read frequently about the advancements of data science and robotics, actually seeing a demonstration of these robots will have a deep impact on your appreciation of the role these robots could have in our lives in the near future.
