Well, in principle that was the principle of Anthropic. Because everyone always starts with a principle. Then money starts to flow and arrive, along with competition, uncertainty, scalability, sustainability and survival. And like everything in life that money touches, suddenly ethics, initial values, and principles go to hell in the measure that investors and shareholders greed grows and each one of them starts demanding their ROI asap.

I must say I tend to be cynical about it all as well... but I force myself to be more optimistic, otherwise its all very dire and apocalyptic. But I don't disagree w you.

Yep, pretty hard not to become cynical these days. But now that I'm so old and I've already seen everything I have seen, it's way harder for me to force myself to be more optimistic.

Nonetheless, I'm very glad you don't disagree with me, in the end.
