Just found your article on CRISPR on Golden Nuggets... I did a transcript of an interview with one of the developers for this. It was possibly the most interesting interview I've ever transcribed.
I particularly remember the gentlemen saying that it wouldn't really work on humans, unless you had the ability to conduct it over multiple generations over 100 years or more. The practicality being nil. Great stuff for the ole sci fi bank though.
There are a number of groups working on this not just one :)
Do you have a link to your transcript, I'd love to read the interview. As for its potential in humans, we need to think outside the box for applications. As of now a lot more work needs to be done on the technology. Truly fascinating stuff.
