Cancer Fighting Foods and Spices

The American institute for cancer research says that up to 40 percent of all cancers are specifically connect to what we eat, what kind of physical exercise we do, and weather we’re overweight. Around 30 percent cancers can be forestalled by quitting smoking, in other words we can take some necessary  steps to reduce cancer risk through adjustments to our daily diet and way of life. Diet and physical exercise can be a very powerful tool to prevent cancer. About 66 percent of Americans with cancer survive for more than 5 years after diagnosis. Appropriate weight, a healthy diet and a active lifestyle are very important because survivors risk for new cancers or other chronic illnesses are higher than normal.  There isn’t a single element in a particular food that does all the work. The best thing to do is eat lots of different kind of foods. 

 The following foods have the ability to help fight off cancer and some can help inhibit cancer cell development or decrease tumor size :   

  • Avocados
  • Broccoli, cabbage and cauliflowers
  • Broccoli, especially sprouts 
  • Carrots 
  • Chili peppers & jalapenos 
  • Cruciferous vegetables 
  • Figs  
  • Flax 
  • Garlic 
  • Grapefruits
  • Kale 
  • Licorice-root 
  • Mushrooms 
  • Nuts
  • Oranges and Lemons 
  • Papayas 
  • Raspberries 
  • Rosemary 
  • Seaweed and other vegetables 
  • Sweet potatoes 
  • Tomatoes 
  • Turmeric 

A diet which is high in vegetables fruits and  as for quite some time been related with preventing cancer. However, it is moderately as of late that analysts have begun widely inquiring about why and how certain organic products anticipate and battle cancer. Most specialists say that the most effective diet for cancer prevention are those recommending eating these fruits and vegetables. To give ourselves the best chance, we should be careful on our weight and exercise and a healthy life.
