well, he has written some brilliant articles and he is the one that discovery features most of the time and he also gives a lot of interviews to a lot of news channels. so, based on that i said that he was influential. :)

I see. I just wanted to let you know that within the field of particle physics itself, it is definitely not the case. People do not general like much what he is doing from the popular science standpoint, even claiming wrong statements sometimes.
