One thing I've noticed is that scientists are notably bad at naming things.
- "Overwhelmingly Large Telescope"
- "European Extremely Large Telescope"
- "Very Large Telescope"
Really though, I'm super excited for these to be finished and active. If we look at what even just the Hubble can do:
We're really in for a treat with these new telescopes, namely the James Webb Space Telescope, which will be launching October 2018! We will be able to see farther into space than ever before.
