I had a conversation with someone recently who genuinely believed the moon was a hollow spaceship... that the crust was a mere skin being held up by pneumatic dampers from the inside, which explained the tremor activity within the shell...
You can't make this stuff up, and people actually believe it !
Didn't they crash something into it and it seemed hollow. Isn't that how that conspiracy theory all got started?
Yeah, it was a couple of old Apollo modules I think they crashed into it, to measure the seismic activity and get more info on the core. The moon did reverberate a bit more than they expected, but it all had logical scientific explanations.
Doesn't make as good a story as saying the moon was stolen by ETs and replaced with a hollow spy probe lolol
