How is this nihilistic? And what I mean is all we have to go on is perception and we have no means by which to measure that. It is highly plausible that the world is perceived as flat and as a globe and could in fact be concaved and warp and shift and bend any which way. While I don't think the earth is flat I do believe it could be a whole lot bigger than we are led to believe and that we are taught scientific theory in a dogmatic way as though they were fact, the universe outside of earth's orbit is out of bounds and anything regarding it scientifically is theory which cannot be reasonably backed up.
Becasue you are saying, "We can't know anything". How is NOT nihlistic? And no, it's not 'highly plausible' that it's flat or concave or warped or bendy. Please stop making unsupported statements. I'm not interested in them.
If you'd like to have a discussion and bring your SUPPORTING evidence of your claims, I'm happy to do so, but all you have said so far are empy claims and nihlism. I'm seriously not interested in your speculations and unsupported assertions.
So, please refrain if you are not going to have an on topic discussion on the facts about the shape of the earth.
No it's not nihilism, I'm saying that there is no proof of "matter" not that there is no meaning to life or no proof of existence, existence is all we do know but we don't know what that is.
It's still a nihlistic perspective that is basically an argument to not have to discuss ANYTHING at all. I'm actually quite well aware of this, but we still have an objective reality.
It's literally pointless and essentially a nihlistic point of view to come onto a thread that is discussion objective realities that we can all measure and have agreed on, and that we can discuss as facts, and just say, "Well, there are not facts".
it's a cop out and a derailing of the argument such that you can make a wide variety of wild claims and never have to support them.
I invite you to continue your studies on the nature of consciousness. But please take them elsewhere. There is absolutely no way to have a discussion about our observable reality if you are just going to derail them by saying there is no observable reality.
Its' pointless and I'm simply not interested in that particular discussion. Nor is it particularly relevant to the reality that we actually do observe every day.
I have not claimed anything, only that we never went to the moon.
It's irrelevant to the discussion of the shape of the earth. And you made MANY claims, such as that the earth 'could be flat' when it can't. Its' impossible.
Again, please refrain from off topic discussions and derailing any conversation. I'm uninterested in your off topic and unsupported claims.
