Founder Tesla and SpaceX billionaire Ilon Mask announced plans to do media business. The Verge notes that Mask previously planned to buy a site for fake news The Onion. Earlier, he also hired several of his key employees, including former chief editor of The Onion Cole Bolton and executive editor Ben Berkeley. Journalists themselves told The Daily Beast that they would be engaged in a "new comedy project".
