I'd prefer to own my own one but I think they are great especially for tourists and locals alike. Fantastic option on a wet day to get to a bus stop or train home fast.
But when they are abandoned everywhere it's not ideal.

They are rubbish, they make cities ugly and cause more waste and pollution than if you had just walked like a civilized human being.
