Hello future Scorum community member, I’m Michael Luchies, also known as @mikey here on Scorum. Scorum is a sports media platform unlike anything you’ve seen before. Although it’s very new with a lot of room to grow, it’s already changed my life, and if you love sports, I’m willing to bet that it will change yours too.

What is Scorum in 60 Seconds
Explained in the video above, Scorum is a sports media platform on the blockchain that allows you to cash in on your love of sports. Community members earn Scorum Power and Scorum coins in exchange for their comments, votes, and blog posts.
Scorum Power (SP): The more power you have on the platform, the more each vote you make is worth. This rewards the community members you are voting for and helps you earn larger curation rewards. You can turn your SP into Scorum coins (SCR). Conversion is spread out over 52 weeks.
Scorum Coins (SCR): SCR are liquid tokens that you can use right now. You can power them up to Scorum Power, use them for a contest and send to a friend on Scorum, trade to an exchange and sell to earn money, or even bet on Scorum through betscorum.com.
There are three main components of Scorum that you should know and be excited about, and those are:
Scorum Blog: Tens of thousands of sports fans are currently using Scorum’s blog to earn coins. Write original posts and see your follower count and your number of coins increase. You can also earn Scorum coins and Scorum Power from commenting on other people’s posts, and from curating, which simply means using your vote on another user.
Betting: Scorum has created a commission-free betting platform that allows users and sports bettors to place bets with each other without any fee!
Fantasy Sports: In addition to the betting platform, which will not charge you fees or “juice” for placing a bet, Scorum is also creating a commission-free fantasy sports platform that has already been tested on the World Cup. Select the players you think will perform the best and win coins.

It was June of 2018, and I was struggling. My blog posts weren’t getting noticed and I wasn’t earning anything from them. I was a member of another blockchain-based blogging platform where the users just weren’t interested in the community. I found a small group of people who loved sports and poker like I did, and one of them (@lawlees) told me about a new blogging platform that paid you money to write about sports.
I was skeptical but excited, so I cautiously signed up for this brand new platform called Scorum. As I published my first couple of posts, I had earned around 60-75 Scorum, made new friends, and could already see the potential of what they were building.
Fast-forward months later. I’ve earned over 40,000 Scorum Power, talked with and interviewed the Scorum team, won Scorum contests, have gained over 800 followers, and I now have a place where each day I can talk to others about sports and get paid for it. There's even a community-created freeroll poker site called ScorumPoker.com, which I use to earn extra SCR coins while playing and having fun with new friends. Life is good and I’m very grateful to Scorum for creating this opportunity for sports fans like you and me to earn while sharing our love of sports with others.
The Potential of Scorum + You
Scorum began working on their sports media platform in September of 2017.
