but then ended up doing a lot of things anyway, watching anime will have to wait (sorry log horizon)
Holozing Survival Arena
spent most of the day trying to get the sub-game running in the browser, basically unity webgl throgh a dedicated server over websockets gated by hive keychain login. Before these changes it had only ever run in the Unity editor, so we attempted to plumb every feature through a real client-server split so the game would behave the same way on browser as it did in the unity editor.
The main issues were healing & targeting, you weren't able to target creatures and the icon showing that they're currently being targeted, even though it worked perfectly in the editor. Floating numbers weren't showing up, neither dmg nor healing, but the hp bars did for some reason. Player was also not earning new coins when defeating enemy creatures nor were they able to move creatures by rightclicking to where they wanted them to stand. Lastly, mana bar of the healer was also missing.
So most of the day went by adding these back, rebuilding which uses my own hardware, checking if it got implemented and if it works correctly, then repeating that process a few more times... UNTIL, claude decided to let me know there's a multiplayer mode in unity that checks a lot of these things in the editor so you don't need to do this back and forth thing... A bit late claude but better later than never I guess. Something new I learned which is going to be important for when we migrate the MMO over which is going to require a lot more "online" things.
We got most of those things working a lot quicker once I enabled multiplayer play mode.
Scrobble.life
This one received a lot of new things today, as my attention was a bit more free while the game was mostly recompiling over and over and checking if things worked as they should now.
Per user stats dashboard is now live!

Here's a screenshot of mine:

You can also create a card by pressing the "share card" button at any time that you can share with users as an image:

We also ended up adding movie/tv show runtime for those that runtime exists on wikipedia, this gives people a better idea about how much time has been spent when they log/review movies, similar to scrobbling music.
We also created a weekly recap bot that will send images of your top artists that week along with an all time card automatically through a comment to you. You can also opt-out of these messages whenever you want.
Had to make sure the comments don't get stuck based on hive's comment limitations per block or that it wouldn't shoot out the comments at the same time as the daily posts as to not interfere with each other.
We also added artist pages now that'll list the top songs listened to by the community, but currently it's a bit hard to find those pages as clicking on the artist in the logbook sends people to the song mentioned there and not the artist specifically. Will look into that tomorrow.
Thanks for reading and checking out my apps!
Hello @acidyo, It is funny how a planned break often turns into a full day of coding and troubleshooting! It sounds like you had quite the headache getting the Holozing sub-game to run properly on WebGL with all those targeting and UI issues, but it is great that Claude pointed out the Unity multiplayer mode to speed up your testing process.
The new updates on Scrobble.life are also fantastic. The per-user stats dashboard looks incredibly sleek, and the shareable card feature is a very nice touch for the community. Make sure you eventually get to take that real break and catch up on Log Horizon. Keep up the amazing work❤️❤️

Hello @acidyo,
I hope you are doing well. I recently noticed that my Hive account may have been banned or disconnected from the RedditPOSH project. However, I honestly do not know the exact reason for this situation.
I would like to kindly say that I have always tried to use RedditPOSH in good faith and with genuine interest in both the Hive and Reddit communities. If I unintentionally violated any rule or guideline, I sincerely apologize for it. It was never my intention to cause problems or misuse the system in any way.
I truly value this project and the opportunity it gives creators to connect Hive content with Reddit communities. Because of this, I respectfully ask if you could review my situation once again.
If there was any mistake on my side, I am fully willing to follow all the rules more carefully from now on and make sure the same issue never happens again.
Thank you for your time, understanding, and for the work you do for the RedditPOSH project. I would genuinely appreciate another chance.
Best regards,
Passenger777
I'll try take a look in the morning and let you know more if i can.
Hello @acidyo,
I hope you're doing well.
Some time ago, I sent you a message regarding the issue I experienced with my RedditPOSH account. At that time, you mentioned that you would take a look when you had the opportunity and provide me with more information.
I just wanted to kindly follow up and ask if there have been any updates regarding my situation. I completely understand that you may be busy, so this is simply a gentle reminder whenever you have the time.
I truly value the RedditPOSH project and its community. If there was any mistake on my part or anything I need to correct, I would be grateful to know and will gladly take the necessary steps.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you when you have a chance.
Why are you spamming about this daily? It's been 2 weeks since you've left a regular comment other than "thank you" and "why is redditposh not working", get your priorities straight.
I’m in the pub and literally just noticed this. Thought I’d send it to you. Read it. Lol.
man been a while since I've been at a pub
Lol, and I'm still here. Gotta go pubbing from time to time.
That's what I love about using AI, it teaches me new things that I knew nothing about before... Like you learned about multi-player mode in Unity.
yeah it's been helping with getting a bigger picture of how coding works, etc, as well. Quite fascinating, like it's opened a completely new door that's just never been accessed to you cause you couldn't bother spending the time to look for the key in a haystack.
have you swear at claude for telling it late about the checks? like i swear at chatgpt for less 😂 that must have been quite annoying to do back and forth
nah i just made it clear it would've been nice to know about it earlier, it agreed
maybe opus 4.8 will be better at that :p
I think you just have so many ideas in your head, and you find it exciting and entertaining to do, but you’ve got to unwind and take a break from time to time as it can slowly eats up your energy. :)
I already have my statistics panel, thanks! Whenever I have free time I go to scrobble.life, it's something different and exciting on Hive, and with the new updates it's even better.
forget the break.. there's work to do! :P
1043 total scrobbles is quite an achievement and the project grows day by day.
Wow, this is really impressive! I haven't been able to use the app yet, but I will soon. Congratulations!
Thats a lot of hours.
This is me at work.
baby scrobbles!
On the Scrobble.life side, additions such as user statistics, shareable cards, and a weekly summary system make the platform more interactive. This opens the door to innovation, and while constantly adding new features, ensuring that existing systems function smoothly requires separate effort. Seeing the project take shape day by day makes us, the writers, feel our energy and dedication to the project at its highest level.
ye miss me with that now
