Scrobble and Creator Subscriptions are almost close to being ready.
This has been something that's taken longer than I'd like to admit to get right, and it's probably not completely right yet, but some things will need to wait for actual usage to show what may need improvement/adjustments.
I tested subscribing to scrobble.life yesterday and everything seemed to work well. In this post I wanted to give you some examples and also discuss what else scrobblers may get from subscribing to the website and showing their support (in other ways that don't revolve the reward pool or the DHF).
What "perks" do you get today for subscribing?
Profile pic banner and comment order under posts.
Here's an example:

Here you can see that @ocd has a $5 subscription which gets them the "Patron" title, it also mentions for how long they've been subscribed for (any subscription counts towards that). If they're also subscribed to the creator they're responding to, they also get an inner colored ring. The second user in the example is only subscribed to the creator so they get the cheaper colored ring around their profile pic but also the Supporter title and for how long they've been supporting.
Site subscriptions grant you different pfp banners based on how long you've subscribed for, these are currently hidden from sight but on your profile page it let's you choose which banner you'd like to use. (if you like a color better than the other, default is to give you the latest one)

Scrobble and Creator Emotes
Subscribing will also enable unique emotes, while scrobble.life doesn't have theirs uploaded yet, eventually you'll be able to use unique emotes for being a subscriber in posts and comments. This is just another example, imagine the boxes are emotes:

Now people can obviously just copy the emotes and use them even if they're not subscribed, but it'd be kinda silly to go throgh those lengths when it is obvious to others that you aren't subscribed based on the title next to your username. Same thing goes for stickers:

Here's a better example to give you an overview of how this works.
Let's say as a creator you've uploaded 5 emotes unique to you that you've created to your creator studio. 3 of them your subscribers can use if they simply subscribe using the tier 1 sub $2/month, 1 they can use only if they've done the $5 tier and 1 if they've picked the $10 tier. This creator may also have uploaded 3 stickers and gated them behind subscription tiers similarly. Subscribers can now use these emotes and stickers side-wide when placing comments on any post and they reference back to who the emotes/stickers belong to as a way of "advertisement" to the creator. So being careful and good about your niche/style/brand may be important here so they link back your way and increase your presence.
You can also imagine that for projects/products this can be a big thing, for instance @holozing can create a lot of different emotes and stickers of their creatures or say @splinterlands doing so of their cards which then allows their players to use them when commenting on each others posts, etc. Basically more fun and gamification while supporting your favorite projects and creators on Hive with monthly subscriptions.
Lastly, collectibles.
This one is still in the process of being finished as there's a lot to it, current iteration is to place them here in comments:

of course with a mouse-over or click to enlarge them, etc. Default would show the rarest collectible of a creator but we'll let users choose which one they want displayed naturally.
While the default are cards users will be able to create using https://decentmemes.com/backstage/cards/, collectibles doesn't always mean cards. Some creators may choose to use plushies, think of a creators personal Labubu's that their subscribers get by subscribing or having a subscription gifted to them.
In this day and age where these can easily be created using AI, we hope it'll make it easier for creators to get started and filling up their collectibles, emotes and stickers to give their subscribers a more personalized and on-brand experience.
You can also maybe understand why this has taken a bit longer to be finalized and will probably require more testing once its live to be fine-tuned as there's a lot to it.
When it comes to Scrobble.life itself as a creator/platform.
Other than the banners, and comment ordering, we do also plan on offering tokens to users to use our upcoming inhouse agent based on the subscription you've chosen (Thanks to @gwajnberg for the reminder last night). This means you'll be getting value back for the value you've subscribed with in the form of a personalized Agent that'll help recommend songs/movies/tv shows or simply friends you ought to follow on scrobble.life because they share many titles/songs with you.
For instance you'll be able to ask an agent specific things based on your scrobble history, like: "What songs from my most listened band do others listen to a lot outside of scrobble.life?" In case you think you may be missing on some great hits.
"What other movies similar to Interstellar are there that I may enjoy?" etc
Now of course the agents aren't magicians, they can only improve the more data you feed the website and hive with your entertainment history, review history and other activities.
I still have work to do to implement agents for subscribers, but feel free to check scrobble.life subscriptions out in the meantime: https://scrobble.life/u/scrobble.life

A small % always gets burned when subscribing to scrobble.life/creators to avoid subscription washtrading/fake activity and at the same time maybe help hive out a little bit in scarcity.
I'll post some more when most of these features are live. Not really expecting many to subscribe in these markets and that's okay, but am more interested in seeing some subscription activity for creators once those are enabled and creators have started filling up their studio's with things subscribers may want to have.
More additions to subscriber perks may also be coming up, such as highlighting comment backgrounds, gif/animated pfp banners, gif/animated stickers, specific meme/gif templates from creators that regular decentmemes users cannot use unless subscribed to the creator, etc, milestone alerts for scrobble.life & holozing community, etc.
Hope you like these gamified additions coming up as I personally think they've been missing from Hive for a long time.
Nice perks coming through the Subscription model and I must say that this project evolved pretty fast and now has so many functionalities and a polished finish. Probably there are still many things to do, but in the current state one has almost everything on their media to explore and use.
Almost there! Hope everything goes smoothly until it’s fully finished. 😊
