a quick shitpost today as I've spent most of the day working on my very first website!
got a cheap domain for only $2 for the year (although $10 the next year)
ordered a privex server and had claude help me set things up!
quite exciting stuff however since I've never done anything like this before, especially once you see your first website live out there and working!
too early to announce anything, i've shared the site and extension with a few people to test and asked @louis88 to check on the security side of things even though I already did it somewhat with Claude but unsure if I asked the right questions.
Anyway, looking forward to make that RC cost go up potentially and add some value to people's listening and other entertainment habits!
Been listening to a lot of songs today giving it a try with my main account, been fun!
Still a few bugs here and there, mostly with being unable to properly fetch info on some songs/movies/tv shows, API calls are getting more and more gated out there so you gotta make due with what you get for free early on when there's barely any users or revenue generation of the website (if we ever even get there), then maybe we can upgrade and enrich our data with API's that cost!
anyway, excited to announce soon when I get the green light and hopefully more people are gonna start testing it out and adding scrobbles to the site!

Trust me that this is the very first step, the next line of action is consistency and determination to keep pushing because more bugs and security issues will come but, in the end it will only get better.
