Seattle Pier, Oysters and Heading Back Home.

Yesterday I shared a post regarding the downtown and shopping district of Seattle.

After leaving the former site of CHAZ and driving through the downtown area we headed down to the Seattle Waterfront where as former Seahawk Season Ticket holders we loved to stroll and have oysters at Elliots before the game.

This first picture is not mine, it is to show the attraction of the beautiful Seattle Pier.

On any previous trips to Seattle the pier is filled with tourists, street musicians, the smell of food and it's typically crowded and has a festive feel.

On this visit only about half the attractions were even open, we saw no street musicians and even the panhandlers have had to move to new areas.

Still we stopped into Elliot's for our traditional oysters.

It will likely be quite a while before I would had back to Seattle for entertainment and I do not recommend going alone.

The drive

Parking and looking up at some of Seattle's most expensive apartments.

While the sidewalks were empty and no street musicians played, Elliots was open, it seemed quiet in depressing in there is a way, but the good news is the oysters are still delicious.

Those oysters look absolutely delicious and Seattle looks like such a fun city. My bucket list motorcycle trip is to ride from Seattle to either LA or extend it to Las Vegas along the Pacific Coast Highway.... Sooner or later I'm going to make that trip! I would definitely like to spend the first day roaming around Seattle though. Better days ahead my friend!
