But did you take into account the competition with other blockchain-based social media? steem is the first, but not the only one. And surely there's a lot to do, especially with the steemit interface, to reach such ambitious goals.

I was actually searching for Steemit competitors yesterday, just to try to understand the market, but I couldn't really find anything. Steemit FTW!
for now steem is the only big running system, right. But as with bitcoin, those follwing (nexus etc.) will be technologically superior to be able to compete. It's up to steem then to quickly adapt to stay competitive.
I'm not saying this won't be done, but you should never assume it can only go upwards. There ARE challenges ahead.
