The indoctrination is strong.
When you feel it is patriotic and being of service, to go kill people so that psychopaths can get their jollies is just....
Many men want to protect.
And that is encouraged in the armed forces.
And they are indoctrinated to believe they are protecting their country.
It is so hard to accept that all wars are banksters wars.
And we are only "protecting" the banksters.
And they are making my loved-ones objectively less safe by going around the globe making enemies who want to kill Americans, mistaking them for the US feral government.
