Gaya hidup masyarakat di zaman sekarang telah mengalami perubahan dan perkembangan. Jika dulu, masyarakat tidak terlalu mementingkan urusan penampilan dan gaya hidup, tapi kini, berbeda kondisinya. Gaya hidup, mulai jadi perhatian utama.
Gaya hidup, bukan lagi terbatas soal penampilan, aktivitas “nongkrong” kini juga ikutan jadi kegiatan yang dilakukan anak muda maupun dewasa di suatu tempat untuk berkumpul dan melakukan kegiatan mengisi waktu luang Nongkrong di Indonesia sudah ada sejak zaman dahulu hingga sekarang dan mengalami beberapa perubahan seiring berkembangnya zaman. Pada zaman dulu, nongkrong biasanya hanya dilakukan di warung kopi kecil.
Kegiatan yang dilakukan juga lebih sederhana, hanya untuk berkumpul bersama teman. Namun belakangan, kegiatan nongkrong lebih banyak dilakukan di kafe-kafe ataupun di restoran. Masih seperti zaman dahulu, kegiatan inti dari nongkrong tersebut tak lain untuk bersosialisasi.
Karena fenomena inilah, tempat nongkrong seperti kafe dan juga restoran, semakin kreatif untuk berbenah, menciptakan tempat nongkrong yang asyik dan bikin betah pengunjungnya.
