Share My World: White Pocket, Arizona

in #sharemyworld4 years ago

Our final destination in my April weekend social distancing getaway was to White Pocket.

Both The Wave and White Pocket are wonderful rock formations on the Utah Arizona border. In 2012 @jarvie and I went on an epic adventure to The Wave. I wrote about in Getting lost in the desert.

This time we were safe and very happy to scramble around these awesome formations and take cool pictures.

On of the best things about White Pocket is that you can drive up to a trail head which is a short hike to the rocks.

It really did look like another planet.

Like The Wave there was a lot of great red rock!

White Pocket was an a wonderful place of "other earthly" rock formations and a photographer's dream.

Let's end with a couple selfies and a video. Great memories!

Your Photography is amazing 😍

Thanks so much Katrin. I just saw your work and it is great too.

Thank you 🌞

A great series of pictures that is characterized by striking shapes and subtle colors. I really like your landscape pictures.

Thanks so much @faltermann. It really was such a fun place to photograph.

Oh my goodness, what a BEAUTIFUL place! I hope to get there myself at some point.

Yes, you should! Find someone with an off road vehicle too.

They are spectacular shots, I have no words to describe the beauty and peculiarity of the colors and shapes of these rocks and mountains. When you look at these wonders, you think that the greatness of creation deserves something better than the human race.
p.s I went to visit a beautiful abbey and later I will make a post with a series of watercolor paintings, but I was unable to go to visit a beautiful landscape with lake and mountains. A big hug.

Thank you Armando. It was a spectacular place.
An abbey is great! Can't wait to see. :)
