I recently concluded a series of contests called Share Your World. In my opinion, it was a great success and I enjoyed every contribution. The only thing that I did not enjoy was selecting winners as that resulted in some people not winning. As a compulsive people-pleaser, this was difficult...
Despite this suffering, I am gearing up to do another contest. In this post, I want to ask some questions of you to help me do better next time around. Your help would be highly appreciated.
The previous contest was built around this statement:
Share Your World contest
One of the things that excite me the most about Steemit is the opportunity to engage with people from all over the world. Somebody once said:
You will find that I am just like you. And you will find that I am nothing like you.
I want to use this opportunity to find out about your world.
You can find the last post here. You will be able to find all the other posts from there should you be interested.
It is my intention to do something similar but to focus on a smaller version of your world. In other words, get you to write more about yourself than about your country. I also want to create a questionnaire of four or five questions for you to answer instead of just giving a topic for a post.
So, here are my questions.
- Do you think I should keep the same name, Share Your World? Or should I create something completely new?
- Are you interested in contests where you can win @steembasicincome shares? Or would you prefer to win something else? If so, what?
- Would you be interested in sponsoring a prize?
- Do you have any suggestions on how to improve Share Your World or its successor?
- Is it acceptable to tag you in a post to make you aware of the contest?
Please answer these questions in a comment to this post, numbering them in the same way. I will upvote every complete answer and the most valuable comment (IMHO) will receive five shares of @steembasicincome.

Here are my answers to your questions...
Q1. Do you think I should keep the same name, Share Your World? Or should I create something completely new?
A1. You should keep the same name, build the #shareyourworld tag as it is recognisable to you and can only get more popular.
Q2. Are you interested in contests where you can win @steembasicincome
A2 I certainly think that SteembasicIncome shares are an amazing prize as it benefits the winner as well as the contributor, I would also suggest additionally giving away superiorcoins and promoting your Kryptonia link, I would be more than happy to contribute some SUP to your next competition.
Q3. Would you be interested in sponsoring a prize?
A3 I would love to donate some SUP towards your next competition and I am sure others would too.
Q4. Do you have any suggestions on how to improve Share Your World or its successor?
A4. As #ShareYourWorld is quite ambiguous I would suggest something along the lines of local cuisine, local traditions or even local legends pertaining to either the locale or country of origin of the entrant.
Q5. Is it acceptable to tag you in a post to make you aware of the contest?
A5 I think it is perfectly fine to tag anyone who has entered or shown an interest in the previous competitions, of course this is acceptable unlike tagging complete strangers.

1.- I love the name of the contest. It is your brand. When Ginabot warned me that I was tagged, just reading "share your world" immediately relate it to your account.
2.- I prefer to win SBI. They are for life! It would be like winning a contest every time. Instead, if the reward is in cryptocurrency, I will spend it very fast.
3.- To be honest, I'm unemployed and what I produce in Steemit is not enough to face the crisis we have in my country, so I could not help. But who knows, things can change from one day to the next.
4.- The idea is simple and I think that is what has made it successful. Everyone can participate! Who does not want to talk about their customs, traditions or where they live? Keep it easy.
5.- Yesssss! Thanks for tagging, otherwise I would not know about your updates. I also use Ginabot to warn me when my favorite accounts do, but I do not always enter Discord.

SBI is great but I hear incinibot (sp?) might be better. I have not researched this yet. The more sib the better for me. Love the bounty idea too.

I am convinced that the name of the contest is all right, because we and what is inside us is also the world. Our, a small, but the World. Except to add one word: "Share your (own) world".
What about @steembasicincome? This is a good choice, becouse of an opportunity for a long-term existence.
For sponsoring, my level is too small, but in the future, when it will be more relevant, with pleasure.
I don't think that your contest needs a big alteration. Just keep following your inner feelings.

Yeah, I'm interested in @steembasicincome and you were doing good gave every participation some shares where everyone was actually winner. But liquid steem/sbd would more helpful, i guess. If you gave half of the steem that you gave to steembasicincome then participants of your contest might get more happy.
I would like to sponsor but I'm just a minnow right now and trying so hard to grow so i can't right now. Hopefully I'll be able to sponsor prizes for your great contest in future.

My suggestion would be to create a new name if it can be considered a new string of contests. If the theme is the same then the name should probably stay at least similar.
I don't compete for the prize. I compete for the joy of victory and narrow defeats /flex0r
I really like the contest and haven't been around quite long enough to suggest improvements.

Hello, friend @reonlouw I would like to contribute to the solution of the problem about the contest since I would like it to continue.
1.- If you can continue using that name, use it. We are already used to it, and your tag would be the same so you can find it quickly.
2.- At the awards, you can get a strong sponsor or continue with @steembasicincome or both for greater awards because the votes in Steemit are low and they have done a good job in the awards.
3.- I would like to sponsor an award but I really do not have enough strength to vote. I tried to start a grammar contest in Spanish myself and I have not done it because I have no way to pay the prize. Contribute to your wallet if possible I think for everyone. Give prizes in SUP would ask everyone to register to this platform, which is not bad, but do not know if others like it.
4.- In any case, I will accept what the majority decides and I will participate with the topics that the contest asks for since it seems like a great idea. Count on my support in the next editions.
