A young girl was injured in a shark attack in Australia's tourist center. The girl got serious injuries on her legs. Two people, including a teenager, were injured in shark attacks in the Sunderland Islands in Queensland state. In 24 hours it is the second attack incident.
The BBC reported that on Thursday, the girl (12) was in the tourist center with her father and sister. After the shark attack, he was given primary treatment. After being seriously injured, he was taken to the hospital with an air lift.
Earlier on Wednesday, a woman named Justin Warwick (46), who came from Tasmania state, was attacked by sharks while swimming in the tourist center. At the time, a doctor who was in the nearby boat offered him first aid. Later, he was sent to the hospital by air lift. He is undergoing treatment with injuries on legs and neck.
Following the incident, the authorities will set up drum lines and arrange shark control, local media said. According to the Australian Shark Attack File, a shock incident occurred in the country this year and 14 wounded.
