Introductory
Many people have seen pairs of really expensive, name brand shoes for super cheap, coming from China when you order them, but why are they so cheap? What's the catch? Are they fake?
Here's the deal
I'm not sure how many people know this, but, Balenciaga, Adidas and Nike all have factories in China to make shoes.
What you don't know is how they get away with it.
Numbers Games
When a company sends their product schematics, details, patents, etc to China for outsourcing and mass production, there becomes a percentage of the product is defective or slightly off (or nothing wrong with it at all). The factory in China tells the company "Hey, we have a 20% defect/failure rate" when it's probably only 10-15%. The factory then keeps the remaining undocumented amount for themselves to do what they wish (eg: selling online for cheaper)
So, overall, what I'm trying to convey here is: THE SHOES ARE REAL. Just because something is messed up with them or the stitching doesn't mean they are fake.
