What if surely there has been scientifically proof of God, the upshot would be not only countless but mind boggling amazing. The effects would be felt by billions of people all over the world. Those who believe in God would no longer need to rely on unsighted or wavering faith because now, for the first time since the Children of Israel stood at Mt. Sinai and heard the voice of the Lord, there would be a rationale for belief. Those who would be agnostic or atheist would be shaken in their pause as they start to rethink and explore the way back from their secular beliefs.
In our research project which we published, we literally proved that every verse of the Biblical story of creation in Genesis 1 is in sync with the teachings of modern science. This had never been able to be done in early times because what appeared to constitute the greatest differences between Bible and science that became resolved were discoveries by science that was only made within the last 100 years. Along the way to that conclusion, science changed its positions many times until the final up-to-date rendering which is in sync with the bible's teachings from the very beginning. The problems of credibility with the teachings of the Sages were compounded by the fact that in the earliest times there was no science per se and the Sages could only make assumptions of what the Bible was alluding to and this resulted in frequent 'forced translations' of the original scrolls of Moses to justify faulty beliefs of how nature became designed.
Starting with Genesis 1:1 which most Bibles, both Christian and Jewish, translate as "in the beginning' we find the first evidence of those 'forced' mistranslations. Hebrew scholars agree that the first word in the Bible does not mean 'in the beginning' but it does mean 'during the beginning.' The incorrect translation gives us the impression that this was the starting point but the correct translation 'during the beginning' teaches sync with science as the universe had already been created by God and the Sun had come before the planets of our constellation.
The Sun's existence then itself becomes an issue for credibility because organized religion teaches that the Sun was 'created' on Day 4 and the Bibles say that God 'made' the two great lights on Day 4. Hebrew Bible translations went along with that misunderstanding even though the greatest of the Sages taught that such translations are incorrect. The word 'made' as used in the original scrolls of Moses at the time of the Exodus, actually meant that God put the luminaries which had already been created into their proper fixed positions during Day 4. The Hebrew word for 'created' was used only for an entity being presented for the first time and not used here for the Sun. We know today that the Sun had been created before the planet Earth and that is why, in sync with science, the Bible never says the Sun was created (Genesis 1:1 should properly read 'It had been during the beginning when God had already created the heavens and the Earth.
Misunderstandings for events during Day 5 led to further problems and caused the ancient Hebrews to believe that God made errors in creating the world and therefore had to redo it several times. This resulted in the mistaken belief that the Garden of Eden story was that of a second creation. In Day 5, we start out with God creating giant reptiles when He said He wanted the creation of birds. He blessed His creations of Day 5 telling them to be fertile and increase and yet the giant sea monsters disappeared from the Earth. Therefore reasoned the Sages, the creation of the giant reptiles were mistake. No Sages of old, regardless of how brilliant they were, could have known that the time would come, as it did now within the last 100 years, that we would learn those giant reptile 'monsters' were the dinosaurs and that birds evolved from their winged species.
Another major issue that divided science and Bible was if man was an independent species or did we evolve from apes. After much debate from scientists who believed in Charles Darwin and claimed that man descended from the apes, most scientists acknowledge today that man, who was created in Day 6, was created as an independent species. Although all mammals have some common DNA, we learn today that man was created as a separate species and great grandpa did not come swinging through the trees.
But the greatest challenge the Bible faced off with science was the question of the Bible claiming the Earth took 6 days to be created in its entirety and science claiming it was 4.5 billion years. Within the last 75 years we learned the explanation that resolved the dilemma. Solar time of 6 days is the equivalent of 4.5 billion years of Earth time as measured by the same clock. It is explained by physicists as Albert Einstein who discovered that time is measured differently in different places as time is determined by the forces of gravity which differ greatly from the Earth to different places in space.
Proving sync with science for every verse of the Biblical story of creation is the proof that there is no conflict between science and the Bible. As it would have been literally impossible for Moses, or 1000 like him, to have known of every basic detail and their exact chronology in the Bible's creation account, it means that only a Supreme Power could have issued the Bible (Torah) to Moses.
The most important ramification of the finding is that we have reason now to live in harmony with one another and start down the road to a true brotherhood of man. Making the possible effort today and peacefully hoping for the best to unfold in a better tomorrow for mankind.
