I know this sounds crazy but I think a zombie apocalypse would be the easiest apocalyptic situation to deal with. In any situation the most dangerous thing to deal with is LIVE humans. Zombies may have the numbers but at least they are stupid, can't shoot you, and aren't competing for the same supplies that you need to survive. An EMP would be worse in my opinion because you have the whole population left to deal with.
