Meaning of AKAAL MOORAT in Sikh Mool Mantra

 Sikh Holybook starts with Mool Mantra (Root Mantra) which is given below;

Ekk-Oung-Kaar    Satt-Naam   Karta-Purakh   Nir-Bhhow   Nir-Vair   Akaal-Moorat   Ajooni-Saibhang   Gur-Prasaad||

Today we will talk about "AKAAL MOORAT"

The word KAAL means TIME or also DEATH. Whatever created in time dies in time. Kaal (Death) is governor of the material world.

Now if we use prefix A- in Punjabi then it makes the meaning of the following word Opposite. So if "KAAL" means TIME or DEATH then AKAAL means beyond time, without death, Ever Sustained.

Oneness (ੴ ) is beyond time and beyond death.

So ੴ  is not a human or some human like species but the Life Energy of the universe or force which is holding the creation together.

Moorat means Form.

ੴ  has a form but not the form or shape our 5 senses can understand. Not a shape we can comprehend, beyond the characteristics we can comprehend.

The beauty in the realization of being part of this super consciousness!!

I like the way Bhai Satpal Singh Explains the Mool Mantra. Below is the detailed explanation of "AKAAL MOORAT" By him;
