The RCM mints way more numis coins than the Canadian numismatic market can absorb and the actual target market is aimed to collectors in Europe and Asia. The RCM seniorage rates do make this one of the very few govt. department that make any money.
If I had a choice, I'd settle for the basic platinum coin as well.
