Hi friends,
I wanted to share an item that is in my precious metals stack and why I am a holder. Today’s edition is a one ounce silver Marlin Coin:’

This coin is issued by the Cayman Islands and has a denomination value of 1 dollar. Being a fisherman, this coin is a fun one to have in the stack for sure. I have never caught a marlin or sailfish - it is a bucket list item for me so hopefully I will get to do it one day!
These “island” coins (Cayman, Nue, Tokelau, etc) are always fun to stack and they have a cool variety of options - not like the US and Canada where they only produce Eagles and Maples (with overpriced variations).
Thanks for coming by,
Brian
You've not fished until you fish for marlin! It's awesome. Very col coin!
I think the coin is very important for fishermen
It is cool
Merlin will be proud to see marlin coin
I've always wondered what kind of Seniorage is paid to the Central banks of these Island republics in minting a given mintage of coins exported. They'd probably be surprised should someone brings some silver coins back to spend it there, after all its legal tender.
What type of this is this on the coin?
That ocen rim around the coin is so sweet 🧁
The borders are thick, which is good for security. Good coin to have!
The way it's going today, the wise people are hoarding gold and silver and we'll see in the next two or three years they're going to get huge profits.
Welcome again. The price of metal is right. Was developed in 2018 I think.
This looks nice. I like the level of detail in these coins. The dark and silver contrast really gives it more emphasis.
You have taken a very good coin. in which the price of silver keeps rising. Thank you. welcome
I would love to stack it as well as the other coins which have animal figures on :)
