Hi Friends,
My son loves legos and plays with them often, which means I also get to play with legos a lot. He recently got a new lego set, so he spent some time putting them together as per the instructions. Well, the set came with a metal detector!
Since gold prospecting is a hobby of mine and I am a precious metal investor, I went and grabbed a few gold nuggets and my lego man made a great discovery with his metal detector:

Hehe, fun times. I have been considering buying a serious gold metal detector (cost varies, but likely in the $800 - $2,000 range) but haven't pulled the trigger yet. It would be easier to justify if I actually found good gold from my other prospecting methods where I could roll the profits into a metal detector, but the reality is that I am not really making enough money to cover costs.... so, yeah, harder to justify, but if I look at it in terms of a hobby with a chance to hit paydirt, then maybe it's ok???
We had a good time playing with the legos, and did not lose any gold nuggets... whew!
Thanks for coming by,
Brian
Woot, woot!!!
Gold detecting is sure fun!!!
Looking at those gold nugget I'd say you hit pay dirt already!! This sounds like an awesome way to teach your son @brian.rrr!😀
I haven't found any gold either with my Garrett 400i, plenty of loose change and recycling so far.
That’s what I fear! Spend $1k and find no gold 😬 youtube makes it look so easy tho! Lol!
I saw this at least once a day "It's tougher than what YouTube guys say ".
They make everything look like a cake walk.
