That's a lot of gold. I guess this is one of the "problems" with gold, that we can discover and mine more of it, increasing the supply. There is also the future problem of making gold. We already know how to do that and scientists have done it in the lab. So far the amount they have been able to make has been minuscule and completely outweighed by the enormous costs to make it. But we might assume many countries (especially China) are actively researching how to improve this process and lower the costs.
