I haven't been buying silver lately. But today there was a small coin show at a local seniors center, and I snagged 4 50 cent coins.

Also what is kinda cool, I got this $5.00 bill in my change.

It's 1954 dated note. Pretty sweet.

Too bad it doesn't have the buying power back in 1954, maybe 1966ish as per the signatures on a modified note variety BC39b. Well circulated so it may just worth the buying power of today. Nice little museum piece @fat-elvis

There used to be a Forum for collectors of Canadian banknotes but I think it got disbanded for some reason but banknotes are still collectable. I used to check my banknote serial numbers for special collectable serial numbers, made a few bucks, only a few.
