Hi all.
My tour at the Mint was this morning and as expected I was not allowed to take pictures inside.
But it was a good tour, and learned all about how they machine dies and making coin blanks for stamping out our phoney baloney money.
This is the driveway into the mint. Each flag is for a country that the Winnipeg mint has made coins for.
Today they were stamping and boxing coins for the Bahamas, and the guide said they were just awarded to contract for making Phillipines currency.
And for my souvenir, I snagged this pretty bar.
Now I need to visit that Scottsdale mint in Casper Wyoming. It's about a 10 hour drive I think.

Very cool, that's awesome! And a sweet silver bar too! The one in Casper should be interesting, not the world's most exciting city. But I've always had a good time there!
Not far from Casper is fun gold panning and stuff in the black hills. But yeah, Casper itself is just where the hotels are.
Might be phoney baloney but neat to see how they do it! Especially love the souvenir as it doubles as a store of value. I really have to start stacking as my bar must be feeling lonely.
