Hi all
Here's one I dug out from one of my assorted tubes. This one probably should have been put in am air tight, but it wasn't, it's been in a tube with other rounds for years and years.
Its a sweet 1985 Engelhard prospector round.
Im still watching the gold silver ratio, and toying with the idea of switching some silver out, but my local shop is always sold out. That means a trip to my next closest store, in North Dakota. Then Ill have border issues and taxes. So, what to do? Drive to Winnipeg? Fly out to Vancouver? Or wait to see what the market does... Im probably doing the latter.

I personally think it would be a bad move to turn any Silver in for Gold…

Washington State just implemented sales tax on precious metals January 1!
Now, in addition to the price spread, we pay an additional 10% or silver or gold! 😮🤔
Import/export fees and US customs fees. Anything more than $800 USD has always been hit with taxes and fees. No tax here locally on anything above 95% pure for gold.

It was that way here for years, tax-free, real money exchange........ until the greedy politicians wanted more money in their pockets!🙄

Got one same year! Same question in my head! Btw i got one of the same year! Tried to get one from 84 which would be the only piece old as me 🤣 but probably i woll have one if silver goes down again…
My first attempt will need a more compressed ratio of the mid to lower 40s. I've already achieved my original gold stack target so I am in no big hurry.
I haven't check out the local shops in the last three months, except the VCBE.
