Bleujay turned back around and set her gaze on the two figures who were closer now than moments before…
”No Sairrr! A man and a woman!”
Galligan quickly yelled out the general command for assembly as he ran down the steps to the main deck!

[On the Silverton…main deck…]
The ship came alive as the call for general assembly brought thirty more sailors up on the main deck. Commander Galligan mounted the forecastle stairs two at a time and stood at the front rail…
“There Sairrr, just a few hundred feet up the east bank…” Lieutenant Bleujay directed as she pointed up-river.
Galligan squinted his eyes then turned and called down to the main deck, “Seaman Trautenberk- fetch me a longscope!”
“Aye Sairrr!”
In moments Trautenberk was back and ran the longscope up to the Commander. Stretching it out and holding steady, Galligan zoomed in on the odd couple in the river…
“Jings, crivens- it’s Lupega!” He exclaimed in disbelief, “And he’s with a hen!”
A small group of crewmen within hearing range went silent, as if they dared not hope it was true!
“There is just a chance....is there not....we have run upon Officer Lupega still alive?! Who could be with him?” Bleujay added in dismay.
“How he has survived on his own all this time is amazing! But there he is, Haha!” Galligan replied as handed the scope off and cupped his hands to his mouth,

[In the river…]
"They see us! We’re saved!” Lupega shouted in joy as he jumped up and down in the water, waving his arms and shouting back…

Leyla smiled an excited smile, but as the large hull of the warship slowly approached, she hoped with all her heart that Lupega had indeed found his ship?!
“The ship is still moving, well it's a ship, it has to move, hahaha, in fact I don't know what to say anymore!” Lupega celebrated.
[Meanwhile…a few hundred feet further up-river…]
Two Seneca warriors gazed north from behind the cover of a bush and observed the spectacle…
“Uchonna teeska!” (A great canoe!)
“Juppas?” (Traders?)
“Zut!” (No!)
“Imblee sha Bawwee!” (We need tell the Chief!)
With that, the two disappeared quickly into the forest.
[Back on the Silverton…main deck…]
“It will be a very happy time to retrieve our MIA Lupega!” Bleujay said with excitement.
“Send out two men in the dinghy…” Galligan ordered, “Let’s get them out of the water on-the-double!”
“Aye Sairrr!...." Bleujay replied as she turned and called out names, "Able Seaman Thebighigg and Seaman Novacadian!”
“Aye Sairrr?” “Aye?!”
“Lower the dinghy at once and retrieve those poor souls!”

What guid news.....guid news indeed.
Some of ye are quite new here....and do not know Officer @lupega ...a fine Officer....we are delighted to be able to bring him aboard.
Others of ye....this is a time of great celebration...Officer Lupega has been rescued...Original mission completed....how about that!
Yes....Yes...we are quite curious about his companion ...however, we must give her space and allow the Commanders whatever time they need to sort the matter.
