The Armenian Noahs Ark Silver coin series debuted from Geiger Edelmetalle, a German minting company, in 2011. At this point in history, silver prices hit an all-time high just below $50 per ounce. In that first year, the coins were available as 1 oz, 1/2 oz, and 1/4 oz specimens. The following year, the mint added several larger sizes that included 5 oz, 10 oz, 1 Kilo, and 5 Kilo coins for investors to purchase.

On the obverse side of the 2020 1 oz Armenian Silver Noahs Ark coin is a depiction of the Armenian Coat of Arms. The national coat of arms for Armenia is flanked by an eagle and a lion, with a quartered shield at the heart of the national seal. Situated at the very center of the shield is Noahs Ark as it came to rest on Mount Ararat.

The reverse face of 2020 1 oz Armenian Silver Noahs Ark coins includes the image of Noahs Ark in its full glory. This design captures the ark as it floats on the floodwaters carrying Noah, his family, two of every kind of animal, and Gods hopes for a better future for humanity.

Armenia selected the biblical tale of Noah and the ark for its national silver bullion coinage because Mount Ararat, the place the Bible says the ark came to a rest after the floodwaters subsided, was historically within the boundaries of Armenian. The mountain used to be situated on the border of Armenia and Turkey.

Geiger Edelmetalle produces some of the finest silver coins @maddogmike!!! Thanks for showing us this awesome silver coin!!!😀

I had never heard of them before, but after looking into the Mint they have some very nice silver indeed.

Very nice indeed my friend, thanks for sharing!!!😀

I think these are done quite well. I have a pair of older 2015 Armenians as we often forget these were made by Geiger Edelmetalle.

Thanks for sharing your latest @maddogmike
