I’ve had enough….

Afternoon everyone…..

So things have escalated even further with my material pricing. It has now surpassed the ridiculously stupid pricing that occurred during the COVID shutdown.

This is not sustainable for me and I’m currently reaching out to friends all over the place to try and find a solution. I have a friend in Tennessee that is a sales director for a fairly high end furniture company. He is trying to bypass the executives to find out who they get their plywood from and what grade plywood it is.

So I’m playing the waiting game.

Anyhow…..

Today I’m going to share a piece that was given to me by one of my Silvergoldstackers friends. It’s a 2022 Valhalla Viking silver round. I totally love this piece. I am a big history buff and that era was very interesting. The detail on this round is fantastic and the design is badass. It was produced by the Mason Mint.

Yup. I bet Vikings don't experience wood sourcing issues like we do today. Just imagine what they can make with good quality plywood. 🔨

The old school tradesman were amazing for what they had to work with.

Well, this trade issue is killing all of us. Our PM just added more tarrifs on Quebec lumber. Im not sure my friend, here OSB is getting unaffordable, and its made a few miles away.

It’s destroying all of the small businesses

Sorry you're having so many issues sourcing materials. 🙁

I have that same round. Mason Mint did an awesome job with them!

My buddies dad has a kiln and sawmill, but I have a feeling places like that are probably jacking their prices up as well to take advantage of the increase. I have a feeling it is going to get worse before it gets better.

Solid lumber is much easier to source and the market is way more stable. It’s the furniture grade plywoods that are difficult because there are only a few manufacturers.

Ah, okay.
